The current Canon’s RF mount lens lineup is much more impressive than RF camera lineup. I would expect Canon to release RF-version of EOS 90D (APS-C mirrorless with RF mount and 32 MP sensor) and high resolution EOS R successor to compete with Nikon Z7 and Sony A7IIIR.
When you are taking photo of a moving object or need to compensate shaky hands holding camera. It’s better have a grainy photo than blurry.
Set Shutter priority mode (Tv), set ISO to Auto, set shutter speed to 1/500th sec (the rule of thumb goes that you set shutter speed at least as inverse of your focus, like 1/300 sec for focus 300mm). There is not much you can do beyond that with this lens.
