With an astonishing field of view of 130 degrees, the new Samyang XP 10 mm f/3,5 is a truly extreme wide-angle lens. And it’s also rectilinear!
The new Samyang XP 10 mm f/3,5 is the latest addition to the Samyang XP Series of lenses that stands out by keeping the highest possible class both optically and mechanically. Unlike fisheye lenses, Samyang’s 10 mm isrectilinear, meaning it has unusually low distortion and that straight lines in the subject also remain straight in the image. In other words, an amazingly useful lens for everything from landscape and underwater photography to astro, architecture and travel!
Supports auto exposure
Just like its siblings in the XP Series, Samyang XP 10 mm f/3,5 is constructed with a smooth, semi-matt exterior in aluminum alloy, making it both sturdy and elegant at the same time. Built-in electronics and contacts for automatic aperture control and data transmission makes Samyang XP 10 mm f/3,5 compatible with all the cameras auto exposure and metering modes. It also supports the focus indicator in the viewfinder display.
The high precision focus ring has a smooth rubber coating that harmonizes with the metal covers and contributes to the premium experience.
Advanced optical construction
To provide minimal distortion and maximum sharpness across the image, even at large apertures, the lens contains 18 carefully designed elements placed in 11 groups. The advanced optical construction includes 3 aspherical lenses, a HR lens (High Refractive) and 3 lenses made of ED glass. Samyang XP 10 mm f/3.5 is capable of matching the resolution of 50-megapixel image sensors as well as 8K video recordings.
Samyang’s advanced Ultra Multi Coating counteracts reflexes, ghosting and flares and ensures that the images always have good contrast and natural colour reproduction.
